We are looking for the ideal candidate to join our Blood Donor Services Team as a Medical Technologist!

The Medical Technologist will perform a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures in the processing area of the Blood Donor Services Department. They will also evaluate and audit reports regarding donor testing and manufacturing processes. Flex hours depend on blood drive times. This position is located at the Washington Hospital Center campus with some travel required to Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

Requirements include:

· Bachelor?s degree in Medical Technology or a related science, (ASCP) or equivalent preferred; or Associate?s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related science.

· One year progressively responsible clinical laboratory experience.

· Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the medical technologist position.

· Knowledge of and ability to utilize multitasking computer systems including Microsoft office.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Prior experience in Blood Donor Service/Blood Banking is preferred.
